The Portland-Ulsan Sister City Association has been active in exchanging several delegations from the city governments, local universities, and commerce and trade organizations. An Ulsan-Portland Intercultural exchange has been set up, involving the students of the University of Ulsan and Portland State University. The purpose of this exchange is to provide a time-limited, intensive intercultural and educational experience for Korean university students. The program focuses on English language instruction, cultural instruction and experience, vocational visitations, family life experience, and outdoor activities.
